Roro Mendut



          Once upon a time, there was a beautiful girl named Roro Mendut. A lot of man wanted to be her wife but Mendut refused them because she had a true love. He is Pranacitra, son of a rich woman, Nyai Singabarong.
          One day, Adipati Pragolo II from Pati kingdom came to her house. He said that he wanted to marry Roro Mendut. But Roro Mendut refused him. Adipati Pragolo II felt disappointed and asked his guide to bring Mendut to him. So the guide came to Roro Mendut. They forced her to Adipati Pragolo II. They could bring Roro Mendut but at that time, in Pati kingdom there was a war with Mataram kingdom and Adipati Pragolo was killed.
Tumenggung Wiraguna, king of Mataram kingdom took all of the wealth of Pati kingdom include Roro Mendut. Tumenggung Wiraguna felt in love with her and wanted to be her wife. But Roro Mendut refused to be his wife. Mendut said to Wiraguna that she had a true love named Pranacitra. Tumenggung Wiraguna got angry and asked Roro Mendut to be housemaid.
One day, Pranacitra came to Mataram. He looked for his sweetheart. They tried to escape and back to Pati kingdom.TumenggungWiraguna knew about it and ask his guide to killed Pranacitra and brought RoroMendut back. Pranacitra was killed and buried on forest.
In Mataram kingdom, Wiraguna forced Mendut to marry him again. But Mendut didn’t want because she loved Pranacitra. Then, TumenggungWiraguna told her that Pranacitra had been killed by his guide. RoroMendut did not believe it. Wiraguna brought her to Pranacitra’s graveyard. RoroMendut was shock and cried there. Then, she tookWiraguna’s weapon and stab to her stomach. She died in front of Wiraguna. Wiraguna buried her beside Pranacitra’s graveyard.

The Cipmunk that Ran Away


Once upon a time, there was a nervous little chipmunk. She was always afraid that something bad happened to her.
        One day, she heard a little noise. It was really only an apple that fell to the ground. But the little chipmunk was afraid and said “The sky is falling in.” then she railed away as fast as she could go. Soon she met an old brother chipmunk, who asked, “Where are you running to, little chipmunk ?” and the little chipmunk answered, “The sky is falling in, and I am running away.” “The sky is falling in?” said the old brother chipmunk, until at last there were a hundred brother chipmunks shouting, “The sky is falling in.”
        Soon the larger animals heard what the chipmunks were saying. The deer, the sheep, the pig, the camel, the tiger, and the elephant began to say, “the sky is falling in.” then the wise Lion heard all the noise and wanted to know what was happening. He stopped all the animals and asked, “What are you saying?” The brother chipmunks said, “Oh we heard it from that little chipmunk !” and the lion said, “ Little chipmunk, what made you say that the near the tree.” “well,” said he lion, “come with me and I will show you how something”. “Now get on my back.” The lion took her on his back, and asked the animal, to stay where they were untilthey returned.
        Then he showed the little chipmunk that the apple had fallen to the ground. This made the noise that had made her afraid. The little chipmunk said, “Oh, I see. The sky is not dalling in.” the lion said, “Let’s go back and tell the other animals.” So they went back. At last all the animals knew that the sky was not falling in.

Lions





Lions are wild animals that eat meat. It means that lions are carnivores. Lions are magnificent animals that appear as a symbol of power, courage and nobility and national flags in many civilizations. Wild lions currently exist in Africa and in Asia with a critically endangered remnant population.
Lions live for ten to fourteen years in the wild, while in captivity they can live longer than twenty years. In the wild, males seldom live longer than ten years, as injuries sustained from continual fighting with rival males greatly reduce their longevity. They typically inhabit savanna and grassland, although they may take to bush and forest. 
Lions are unusually social compared to other cats. A pride of lions consists of related females and offspring and a small number of adult males. Groups of female lions typically hunt together, preying mostly on large ungulates, such as Zebras, Deers, and Buffalos. Lions are apex and keystone predators. 
Visually, the male lion is highly distinctive and is easily recognized by its mane. Mature male lions are unique among the cat species for the thick mane of brown or black hair encircling the head and neck. Both male and female lions roar, a sound which can be heard as far as 8 kilometers away. However, Male lions are bigger than female lions.

Alasan kami memilih film lascar pelangi sebagai tugas sosiologi (menelaah film) adalah :
a.       Laskar pelangi memberi nilai moral dalam adegannya. Selain nilai moral yang diberikan, lascar pelangi juga memberikan nilai budaya dalam adegan lascar pelangi.
b.      Laskar pelangi merupakan film yang telah mendapat tanggapan baik dari Menteri Negara Kebudayaan & Pariwisata, Ir. Jero Wacik, S.E.
c.       Laskar pelangi merupakan film yang familiar dengan kehidupan anak-anak, dan tidak mengandung unsur SARA serta adegan dewasa.
d.      Laskar pelangi merupakan film yang tidak mengandung unsur – unsur negatif, seperti tawuran, narkoba, dan miras.
e.       Laskar pelangi mengandung suri teladan yang baik untuk anak – anak dan patut dicontoh dalam kehidupan sehari – hari.
3.      Synopsis film
            Cerita terjadi di Desa Gantung, Kabupaten Gantung, Belitong Timur. Dimulai ketika sekolah Muhammadiyah terancam akan dibubarkan oleh Depdikbud Sumsel jika tidak dapat mencapai siswa baru sejumlah 10 anak. Ketika itu baru 9 anak yang menghadiri upacara pembukaan, akan tetapi tepat ketika Pak Harfan, Sang Kepala Sekolah, hendak berpidato menutup sekolah, Harun dan ibunya datang untuk mendaftarakan diri di sekolah kecil itu.
            Mulai dari sanalah dimulai cerita mereka. Mulai dari penempatan tempat duduk, pertemuan mereka dengan Pak Harfan, perkenalan mereka yang luar biasa dimana A Kiong yang malah cengar-cengir ketika ditanyakan namanya oleh guru mereka, Bu Mus. Kejadian bodoh yang dilakukan oleh Borek, pemilihan ketua kelas yang diprotes keras oleh Kucai, kejadian ditemukannya bakat luar biasa Mahar, penglaman cinta pertama Ikal, sampai pertaruhan nyawa Lintang yang mengayuh sepeda 80 km pulang pergi dari rumahnya ke sekolah.
            Mereka, Laskar Pelangi- nama yang diberikan Bu Muslimah akan kesenangan mereka terhadap pelangi- pun sempat mengharumkan nama sekolah dengan berbagai cara. Misalnya pembalasan dendam Mahar yang selalu dipojokkan kawan-kawannya karena kesenangannya pada okultisme yang membuahkan kemenangan manis pada karnaval 17 Agustus, dan kejeniusan luar biasa Lintang yang menantang dan mengalahkan Drs. Zulfikar, guru sekolah kaya PN yang berijazah dan terkenal, dan memenangkan lomba cerdas cermat. Laskar Pelangi mengarungi hari-hari menyenangkan, tertawa dan menangis bersama. Kisah10 kawanan ini berakhir dengan kematian ayah Lintang yang memaksa Einstein cilik itu putus sekolah dengan sangat mengharukan, dan dilanjutkan dengan kejadian 12 tahun kemudian dimana Ikal yang berjuang di luar pulau Belitong kembali ke kampungnya.

4.      Imitasi yang dilakukan tokoh cerita
-          Borek yang berkeinginan untuk meniru kondisi fisik seseorang yang biasa dikenal dengan sebutan Samson yang memiliki badan kekar.
-          Ikal ingin meniru gaya Rhoma Irama.
5.      Identifikasi yang dilakukan tokoh cerita
-          Ikal dan kawan-kawannya berpakaian ala suku Dayak dalam karnaval 17 Agustus di daerah Belitong.
6.      Sugesti yang dilakukan tokoh cerita
-          Bu Mus memberitahu Kucai untuk menjadi ketua kelas yang baik
-          Pak Harfan menasehati Ikal dan kawan-kawannya bahwa mereka harus memberi sebanyak-banyaknya, bukan menerima sebanyak-banyaknya.
7.      Simpati yang dilakukan tokoh cerita
-          Ketika kepala sekolah hampir menutup sekolah Muhammadiyah karena jumlah siswa yang terdaftar belum memenuhi syarat.
-          Ketika Pak Harfan meninggal dunia, semua orang merasa kehilangan dan keadaan sekolah berubah. Bu Mus yang terpuruk atas meninggalnya Pak Harfan tidak masuk untuk mengajar anak-anak yang mengakibatkan anak-anak harus belajar sendiri di sekolah.
8.      Kesimpulan
                Sepuluh anak Melayu Belitong yang disebut Laskar Pelangi ini tak menyerah walau keadaan tak bersimpati pada mereka. Sebut saja Lintang, seorang kuli kopra cilik, yang genius dan dengan senang hati bersepeda 80 kilometer pulang pergi untuk memuaskan dahaganya akan ilmu-bahkan terkadang hanya untuk menyanyikan lagu padamu negeri di akhir jam sekolah. Atau Mahar, seorang pesuruh tukang parut kelapa sekaligus seniman dadakan yang imajinatif, tak logis, kreatif, dan sering diremehkan sahabat-sahabatnya, namun berhasil mengangkat derajat sekolah kampung mereka dalam karnaval 17 Agustus.
            Selami ironisnya kehidupan mereka, kejujuran pemikiran mereka, indahnya petualangan mereka dan temukan diri anda tertawa, menangis, dan tersentuh saat melihat setiap adegannya. Film ini dipersembahkan buat mereka yang meyakini the magic of childhood memories dan khususnya juga buat siapa saja yang masih percaya akan adanya pintu keajaiban lain untuk mengubah dunia pendidikan
